Why we built this
India's retail workforce is one of the largest in the country. From neighbourhood kirana shops to chains like Reliance, Shoppers Stop, and DMart, millions of people work the floor every day. Most of them never get formal training beyond the first week on the job.
The training that does exist is built for corporate offices, not for the floor. It's in English, it's long, it's expensive, and it doesn't reflect what actually happens between a customer and a cashier on a Saturday afternoon.
Delhi School of Retail exists to change that. Short, practical lessons. Hinglish where it helps. Mobile-first. Always free for learners.
What we believe
- Learning should be free. If you work retail in India, you should never have to pay to get better at your job.
- Short beats thorough. A 5-minute lesson you watch is worth more than a 90-minute course you don't.
- Hinglish, not Hindi or English. The way people actually talk on the shop floor. We meet learners where they are.
- Mobile-first, always. Most of our learners watch on their phones. We design for that first, desktop second.
- Practical over theoretical. Every lesson should give you something you can use on your next shift.
